Truth Commission Report Release: Nov. 10-12, 2010
The Truth Commission on Conscience in War (www.conscienceinwar.org), a national coalition of over 60 religious, veterans, academic, and advocacy groups, will release a groundbreaking report on the need for greater religious freedom and protection of moral conscience in the military. The Commission will release the report and announce next steps in implementing its recommendations over three days of events, November 10 – 12, 2010, in Washington DC. Good to see this moral gap being addressed. I have been concerned about this matter for years and have tried to be an advocate for it within our denomination and with the Canadian government.
